While we may have found it not to be the most uplifting place in the world, being some of the few tourists there and getting to see the local life was a lot of fun. We honestly prefer it to places overrun by tourism or those that feel artificial (looking at you, Perast!).

After arriving in Montenegro, we hopped in our car from Takecars.com (https://takecars.com/en/montenegro/?ref=ryan - they did not sponsor us but we loved our experience) and went on a loosely planned road trip that took us to Budva, Kotor and Perast in this part. 

One of the first things we noticed about Montenegro was that even during the shoulder period, it was more crowded than we expected. We still loved it, but it didn't feel as undiscovered as other Youtubers promised.

How could this place that is deemed as the "hidden gem of Europe" in so many other videos be not so hidden?!

Honestly one of the coolest places we have been in Europe, Serbia and Belgrade is in the midst of a peaceful era, but that hasn’t been the case for very long — even the people our age there vividly remember war and are terrified at the prospect of future war happening.

We spent a whole entire month trying all the traditional Serbian food in Belgrade.

A Foodie's Guide to Belgrade 🇷🇸: Traditional Serbian Food

Before Easter 2024 in Venice, we took a road trip to the stunning Dolomites. It was Ryan's first time seeing its beauty. After two nights in San Martino di Castrozza, where we saw sights like the Brenta River and Lago di Alleghe, we're now heading back to the plains. Our first stop is the impressive Sacrario Militare, offering breathtaking views from the Fascist era. Then, we explored the famous wine region of Treviso, including Valdobbiadene and Conegliano, and visited Canova's tomb, the celebrated sculptor. Despite a storm, we had a wine tasting at Ca'Salina Wineries and tried the unique wine vending machine at Osteria Senz'Oste. Join us on this unforgettable journey!

Did you know you can ski just a short distance from Venice? Join us on our epic weekend getaway from the bustling city (where Fabio comes from) to the breathtaking Alps. Cruising through the enchanting town of Bassano, we reached San Martino di Castrozza, perched at 1,487 meters in the Trentino region. Surrounded by stunning peaks, we found unexpected snow for skiing in late March, including the panoramic slopes of Mount Tognola at 2,200 meters. 

We also explored the charming town of Alleghe and its serene lake, savored the famous local grappa, and even climbed a bell tower—stay tuned for the exciting second part of our journey, coming soon!

We Saw Alabama So You Never Have to | US Road Trip Pt. 2 🇺🇸

Spending the entire last winter in the UK🇬🇧, we are taking the opportunity to explore more of the country. We did a dogsit🐶 in Bristol, which is really close to Wales🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿. Within 45 minutes, you can reach Cardiff, so that's what we did. We went there on a Saturday. We were supposed to visit North Wales the following weekend and see more 🏰, but we were already feeling a bit sick🤧, and Ryan had a relapse after this day trip. Anyway, we loved Cardiff, especially experiencing a different language and seeing the flags. We still hope to visit the North soon!

This recipe may have originated in New Orleans, but Ryan has forever attributed its creation to his grandmother, who would make it once in a blue moon. 

A flambé of butter, brown sugar, bananas and rum, all poured over vanilla ice cream, this recipe may seem sophisticated, but its simple!

How to Pack Light for a Long Trip (Packing Tips Guide)

Join as we make our way through the most southerly of the four largest islands in Japan, Kyushu (also known as 九州). In this video, we didn't just (not) visit abandoned islands or spend exorbitantly on accidental first class tickets, but we located the gates of hell (or less dramatically, we found what is known the "hells" in Kyushu).

Kyushu Travel Guide: Best Places in Kyushu, Japan  🇯🇵

The Real Kazakhstan (Road Trip) 🇰🇿

Digital Nomad Life in Hokkaido, Japan 🇯🇵

This is the second part of our 7-day Japan Rail Pass (JR Pass) experience (You can find the first part here 👉 https://youtu.be/ClhQy_5udKA). From Nara we headed to Kyoto where Ryan got particularly pissed off at all of the crowds, but managed to find some solitude and peace. From there, we headed up to the lesser-known Kanazawa, where we got an up close in personal look at Pokemon and ate some of the cheapest seafood of our lives 🐟. 

This was all before we realized the JR Pass screwed us over (or did we misread the fine print?) and we had to get down to Tokyo as fast as humanly possible!

Japan Rail Pass for a Week (Japan Vlog 🇯🇵) | Pt. 2

We managed to get our hands on the 7-day Japan Rail Pass (JR Pass) before it goes through a massive price increase later this year (source: https://bit.ly/3okMPiz), and we definitely took advantage of it…cutting off a huge amount of expenses and time by allowing us to ride the shinkansens (Japan's super ridiculously fast and efficient bullet trains 🚄) across Honshu island. Without it, we wouldn't have managed to sleep in a karaoke room in Hiroshima, get vertigo in one of Osaka's weirdest towers, and become best friends with ravenously hungry deer in Nara. Japan Rail Pass for a Week (Japan Vlog 🇯🇵) | Pt. 1

We went up to Hokkaido (北海道) for the last leg of our Japan 🇯🇵 trip and were completely blown away. We have traveled a lot, so giving the title to Hokkaido as 'one of our favorite places in the world 🏆' was no easy endeavor, but it soon shot up to the top of the rankings. 

Watch as we explore Sapporo, as well as central Hokkaido (Furano, Biei, Mount Asahidake, etc.) using only public transportation 🚌 and….beach cruisers 🚲. Throughout the 5 day itinerary in Hokkaido we come across breath-taking nature, best karaoke friends, onsens galore, foot blisters, and...hokkaido cherry blossoms (which we were too late for in other parts of Japan). 

In conclusion: Hokkaido is pure bliss 😍.

Hokkaido Travel Guide: Best Places in Hokkaido, Japan 🇯🇵

We asked ChatGPT (with some very basic prompting abilities) to plan us a weekend trip to some off-the-beaten-path locations in North Bali. After an initial over-ambitious plan (taking us basically to Java island 🤣), we tweaked the system a bit and it spit out a sizeable itinerary for us to follow. Along the way, we encountered torrential downpours ⛈, a temple-theme park fusion 🛕🦜, mountain lakes 🏔🐟, "dolphins" 🐬, and a scooter accident 🛵😵 that could have been worse but still wasn't fun. While we didn't do everything on the list, we forever thank the ChatGPT AI gods for the good vibes Northern Bali experience that we would never have had without its expertise. 

Here is the exact itinerary ChatGPT gave to us:

Day 1:
- Leave Ubud early in the morning and head north to Munduk. This journey will take around 2 hours.
- Visit Lake Tamblingan and Lake Buyan, which are two volcanic lakes located in the Bedugul area. These are off-the-beaten-path locations with very few tourists.
- Enjoy lunch at a local warung near the lakes.
- After lunch, head to Munduk and check-in to your accommodation.
- In the afternoon, visit the Munduk Waterfall, which is a beautiful waterfall located in the hills of North Bali.
- Spend the rest of the afternoon exploring the local area around Munduk, which is known for its scenic rice paddies and coffee plantations.

Day 2:
- Wake up early and enjoy breakfast at your accommodation in Munduk.
- Visit the Banjar Hot Springs, which is a natural hot spring complex located in the village of Banjar. Here you can take a dip in the hot springs to relax and rejuvenate.
- After your visit to the hot springs, head back to Ubud. This journey will take around 2.5 hours.
- If you happen to be in Bali, this itinerary is well-worth it, albeit a little long for all the scootering hours we put in within the short amount of time. Best advice is to slow it down even more!

Gunkan Island (Hashima Island) in Nagasaki, Japan 🇯🇵

Without even knowing until a day before, we ended up in Tokyo for Tokyo Rainbow Pride in April 2023 🗼🏳️‍🌈. What seemed like a small affair at first, soon turned into something far beyond our expectations, filled with parading, plenty of Japanese beer, and lots more randomness. In turn, it ended up being a pretty magical event, and was so beautiful to see a country like Japan 🇯🇵 heading in what seems like the right direction in regards to lgbtq+ rights.

Exploring Osaka with a JR Pass | Japan Travel Vlog 🇯🇵

What is the day in the life of a Bali digital nomad (specifically Ubud digital nomad like)? Watch to find out. In Bali, we work German times (so about 3pm to 12am), which sounds daunting, but ended up being a blessing in disguise, freeing up the morning and early afternoon for us to do whatever we wanted. As you can tell from the video, we live probably a pretty normal lifestyle in Bali, including going to the gym, running errands, etc. But thanks to Bali, we get the chance to enhance our day with lots of thrills, such as good local eats, taking scooters, and the occasional dip in the villa's swimming pool.

Trip to Nusa Penida in Bali, Indonesia (Bali Vlog) 🇮🇩

After landing in #SouthAfrica, we took straight to the Garden Route on a #roadtrip (well, with a stop in #Stellenbosch first for some #wine). Along the way, we stayed in "farm" houses, learned what a #BRAAI was (and made our own not 1…2…or 3...but 4 times), saw two of the Big Five game, lounged on beaches,  experienced the day and night-life of funny places like Mossel Bay, and never learned to pronounce places like 'Knysna' properly.

South Africa Road Trip on the Garden Route 🇿🇦 Dos and Don'ts

While in #milan, we were two days away from coming back to Germany at the end of October when the desire to go to south Italy overpowered our rational side. We found a gem on #airbnb in the #oldcity of agropoli and before we could finish our #aperitivos we were on a sleeper train. 

This is our month in Agropoli (and a bit of #napoli) sandwiched into a 9 minute video, which includes near dog attacks, a single day on the beach followed by flooding, multiple trips to the laundromat, mediocre wifi, lemon-stealing, and plenty of aperitivo to forget the rain. 

Even with all the rain during our month-stay, we grew to love the little town and the simple-life that came with it. 

Moral: Albeit beautiful and charming, try to stay in South Italy any month but November or you will be eternally damp.
